This week’s “real organizing” situation is a guest room closet which became a catch-all and was sorely neglected. Items were dumped in here for months. No one really knew what was in here any longer.
We emptied everything out of the closet, edited out the items which were no longer needed and set them aside for teach, recycling, or donation. The remaining items were thoughtfully placed back into the closet so that the owner could see what is in there and retrieve it when she needed those items. The floor is clear and used wisely. Upper shelves hold items that are needed less frequently. The clothes and tablecloths are hanging straight. That’s a successful makeover.
